STORY MODE

I enjoyed the character illustrations quite a bit. The 3D fights look great too, but there are only a few moves you can make - but it is a fair price for a great looking game.
Lots of fun, great gameplay and solid graphics. All around a really entertaining game. Crashed on me once, but whatever. This is worth the money.
I cant say Ive ever been a big fan of boxing games, but this one could be enough to convert me. Interesting concept, ability to power up your fighter, unique opponents and good touch screen moves make this one a winner. Works for a pick-up game or a full play through, and worth the $1.99 for it.
The game has nice graphics (though not Retina Display) and is probably the best boxing game on the App Store. The story is funny and there is an upgrade system in which you can use coins earned in matches to add strength, defense, speed, and purchase a few power items like a health potion that you can use once per round. The controls are easy to use- taps for jabs, horizontal swipes for hooks, and upward swipes for uppercuts. Hold both sides of the screen to block and tilt to move around/dogde. These controls seem to be the perfect match for a boxing game. Unfortunately, theres no body blows. Overall, this game is fun but a little short. But the developers promised updates with new enemies so I guess an investment at this launch price is reasonable. UPDATE: The unresponsive/laggy controls I complained about in the original version were fixed by their new update. I was then able to finish the game and it was fun while it lasted. The story, though simple, really is original, funny, and good. I wish they can expand the storyline and add new beasts to fight against, which was hinted by the epilogue. Final though: if you are reading this and have the slightest interest in boxing or action games in general, then pick this up. Suggestions- besides new content: -Maybe you can make a special move where you build up a gauge with combos and unleash a deadly attack. -Add more items in the gym. Perhaps you can add different boxing gloves that have special effects, such as stun with uppercuts or increased damage with jabs or increased defense when blocking...well each pair can have different looks and abilities. -Add retina display. -Add multiplayer via GameCenter! Im sure this will be a blast and many people will buy the game for this! -Add a mode where you can play as beasts. Well these are my suggestions to make this 5 stars game even better! I hope you read this Goodhustle!
The graphics are smooth and the animation fluid. The pleasant sounds of bones crunching and gloves hitting flesh are serviceable, as is the music. Visually and aurally, the game is somewhat of a masterpiece. But most important is playability, and that comes down to the controls. Theyre so intuitive, a caveman can do it. The game plays less like a boxing match and more like a three-round fighting game, which makes this a fighting game and not a boxing game, but I love it just the same. When I wrote my original review, I only found one flaw this game, but I had to redact that entire paragraph since it has been fixed for version 1.1. However, the game is short. Only 9 opponents, and after that youre just sitting there playing rematches until youve maxed out your stats. After that, you can pretty much tell the game to hit the showers. Despite being one of my favorite games to play on the iPhone when I first bought it, there seems to be little replay value.
I was never a giant fan of boxing games but this fast and furious offering from Goodhustle Studio packs a serious punch! One of the best arcade games in the App store. A must buy title.

Some bad moments

I really like this game in theory. Graphics are great and could be really fun. But it crashes on my IP4 every time i start playing it. I havent been able to get past the second level because it crashes. Please fix immediately because this game has potential.
I feel like I was mislead to believe this game had retina graphics.. I am sadly mistaken. Please update with retina display support.
This game is alright nothing interest.. You will get bored after couple fight.
the game is fun but there are only 10 characters to bee then the game is over. . .it should be a 10 cent game. . .
This game took about 8 minutes to complete. Not satisfied at all.
This is a wana be punchout with no replay value at all. Game has you lv only to take it back as characters dont really get harder they just roll speed and stam back ... Wish I had save the 1.99 wasnt worth it lasted 1 hr of game time
